Marigot Bay is located on the west coast of St Lucia – where every place of interest in St Lucia is within a one hour journey by road – some less by water taxi:


The old French Capital of St Lucia – home to the Pitons, the drive-in volcano, Diamond Falls and the Botanical Gardens, some of the best snorkelling on the island at Anse Chastenet and many great restaurants. One hour by road – 30 minutes by boat.

Pigeon Island National Park

Home to the British garrison who defended St Lucia from the French – with spectacular walks, ruins of fortifications, a nice beach and a great café (Jambe de Bois). 45 Minutes by road – 30 minutes by boat.

Rodney Bay

The longest yellow sand beach on the island, restaurants, bars, night clubs, casino and shopping - 45 minutes by road or 30 minutes by boat.

Castries Market

For over 100 years farmers have been bringing their produce and spices to this old market – flanked by an equally interesting craft market. Not to be confused with the “Made in China” souvenir market across the road..!. 15-20 minutes by road or 10 minutes by boat

Castries - Pointe Seraphine & Place Carenage Duty Free Shopping Plazas

Largely focused on the Cruise Ships - but available to all island visitors. All the international brands of luxury goods – watches, jewellery etc. 15-20 minutes by road or 10 minutes by boat

The Morne

Just south of Castries, this hillside is host to the Governor General’s Mansion, the La Toc and Morne Fortune Batteries (British fortifications), Pink Plantation gallery and restaurant and Udovic’s Wood Carving studio. 15 minutes by road. No boat access

Anse La Raye

Fishing village and Friday-night “Fish Fry” and ”Jump-Up”  10 minutes by car or boat

Anse Cochon

One of the best snorkelling beaches on the island – plus dive shop, dive centre and beach restaurant. 20 minutes by car or 12 minutes by boat

Fond D’Or – Nature Reserve & Historical Park– Dennery

A former colonial sugar mill built over a former Amerindian settlement, Fond D'or Nature and Historical Park is rich with history. 35 minutes by car. East coast not accessible by boat from Marigot

Cas-en-bas Beach

Horse riding, kite surfing and Marjorie’s Beach Bar – a favourite of Amy Winehouse in her last years – 50 minutes by car. East coast not accessible by boat from Marigot
